This is such a great conference! Connecting women to power is brought to you by The Board of Equalization, board members Jerome E. Horton and Diane Harkey. It's held every year at Cal State Dominquez Hills college and it's an all day affair and surprisingly, it's a free conference! Yes that's right... Free!!! :This is my second year attending, and I always learn something new!
The guest speakers had such great stories that left you motivated and inspired! Whatever your reasons for attending the conference, all in all, it left you uplifted and inspired! There were so many ambitious women from all walks of life and from diverse backgrounds with the same mission, to meet like minded people and gain knowledge. Another great aspect about this conference is that men are welcome. I saw lots of men networking, doing their thing!
The conference even had their own version of ABC's Shark Tank
called "Toro Tank." Each person had 2 minutes to impress the judges! I witnessed confident women, with some clever ideas, and great elevator pitches.
In conclusion, If you are seeking to start your own business, grow your business, looking for customers, seeking knowledge about business, or even if you are seeking a job or a new career, this conference is for you. A great place to network, meet new people, and gain knowledge.
